- UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN’T CONTROL
Whether it is re-adjusting to morning routines and traffic & transport delays or new deadlines. It is often the little things that trip us up – the unplanned or unexpected. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you don’t get everything right first time or events don’t go as planned. It is just not possible to control everything. Allow for flexibility.
- SLEEP PATTERNS
Plan for 7 – 9 hours of sleep every night. Settling back into early morning starts after months of late nights does take some getting used too. Adopt an earlier bedtime every night until sleep routines are back in your control. Meditation before bed or first thing in the morning provides an opportunity to reflect back on the day that was or set your intent for the new day.
- ROUTINE
From skincare to exercise, consistency is key. Boost your skins health and re-establish a good skincare routine or consider overhauling existing routines. The joy of summer can leave skin looking and feeling dry, dull or dehydrated. Build time into daily routines to nourish, treat and repair skin.
- USE YOUR SUPPORT NETWORK
Catch-up over coffee, a meal or for a double dose of feel good energy, schedule time to exercise with a friend. Support and sharing is key to reset, rebalance and re-energise both body and mind.
- EAT WELL TO KEEP ENERGY LEVELS UP
Look after your nutrition and select food choices that include a rainbow colour of options. With pumpkin, squash and cauliflower in season, there are so many ways to cook these autumn favourites to keep things tasty & exciting. Roast, steam, stew or soup – do it your way.
- DIGITAL DETOX
Create space for calm and clarity. At the end of the day allow time and space to separate home from work. Read a book or bring out the board-games. Run a hot bath, light some candles and lie back and relax in the steaming hot water. And don’t forget to breathe!
